FIRST GENERATION
1. Ezekiel Seely (A). Born 11 Apr 1740 at Stamford, Connecticut. Married 23 Jan 1760 at Stamford to Catherine Walsh. He died ? at Central Blissville, Sunbury Co. He served in the King's American Rangers during the American Revolutionary War (Ref A). He travelled from New York to Saint John on either the "King George" or the "William" in the Fall Fleet which arrived at Saint John on 27 Sep 1783 (Ref C). Ref D contains two Land Petitions for property in Sunbury Co submitted by Ezekiel Seely in 1788 and 1790 respectively. Both are for additional land on the South Branch of the Oromocto River. Identified children (some of these could have stayed in US as no trace of them exists in NB):
a. W. Ezekiel Seely (AA). Born about 1759 (Ref E).
b. Asahel Seely (AB). Baptised 7 Mar 1762.
c. John Seely (AC). Born 3 Jan 1764.
d. Hannah Seely (AD). Born 17 Oct 1766.
e. James Seely (AE). Born 20 Feb 1767.
f. Mary Seely (AF). Born 20 Feb 1767.
g. James Seely (AG). Baptised 10 Nov 1769.
SECOND GENERATION
1. W. Ezekiel Seely (AA). Born in Stamford, Connecticut about 1759 (Ref E). Baptised 12 Oct 1760. He first married Rebecca Seely, daughter of Thomas. They had no children. He was remarried 11 Feb 1789 at Maugerville, NB, to Elizabeth Baker. He was married a third time on 29 Jan 1792 at Maugerville, NB, to Rebecca Thomas, who was born in Pennsylvania about 1776 and died 16 Aug 1844 at Blissville (Ref E). Ezekiel died 7 Jun 1839 at Blissville, Sunbury Co, at about 80 years of age (Ref E). He was granted two lots, 39 and 40, Fourth Bass Creek, total 461 acres, on 4 Jan 1810 (Ref G). Identified children:
a. Elizabeth Ann Seely (AAA). Born 30 Jun 1793 (Ref E).
b. Linus Seely (AAB). Born 31 Jul 1794 (Ref E).
