Florence Marie (nee Seeley) Abate, 82, of Little Falls on April 17, 2009.
Born and Raised in New York, New York, Mrs. Abate had lived in Little Falls for over forty-six years. Prior to retiring, she had been employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Admissions and Academic Advising Departments at Montclair State University, Upper Montclair.
Mrs. Abate is survived by her husband, Sam, of Little Falls; by her son, James Abate and his wife, Diane, of Midlothian, Virginia; by her daughter, Marian Gorman and her husband, Robert, of North Caldwell; and by her four grandchildren: Michelle and Steven Gorman and Jimmy and Kelly Abate.
Funeral services will be Monday 10:30 am at the Bizub-Parker Funeral Home, 47 Main Street, Little Falls. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, North Arlington. Visiting Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Memorial contributions to Atlantic Hospice, 33 Bleeker Street, Millburn, New Jersey 07041 would be appreciated.
