MANSON - Kathye J. Allen, 66, died at her home of natural causes on Tues. Sept. 21, 2010. Visitation will be on Fri. Sept. 24 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson. Funeral services will be held at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave. in Waterloo, IA, on Sun. Sept. 26 at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Chadric Dietrich officiating. Burial will be on Mon. Sept 27 at 10:00 a.m. at Garden of Memories Cemetery at 3669 Logan Ave. in Waterloo.

Kathye Jean Seeley was born on Feb. 8, 1944, at Waterloo, IA, the daughter of Kenneth and Louise (Reiners) Seeley. She graduated from West High School in Waterloo in 1962, and went on to attend Buena Vista College in Storm Lake for two years. She was married to Melvern Huseman and lived in Lohrville, Ia, and the marriage ended in divorce. She married John Allen and lived in Rockwell City, and the marriage later ended in divorce. She married Norris Gerrard and they lived at Twin Lakes until moving into Manson. During her working life, Kathye had worked at the jewelry store in Lake City, as a sales clerk.

Kathye is survived by her husband, Norris; her father, Kenneth Seeley of Waseca, MN; and brother Larry Seeley of Waseca, MN. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Kathye Seeley Allen (1944-2010)

WATERLOO — Kathye Seeley Allen, 66, of Manson, formerly of Waterloo, died Tuesday, Sept. 21, at home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1944, in Waterloo.

Survived by: her husband, Norris "Porky" Gerrad; her father, Kenny Seeley; a brother, Larry (Judy) Seeley; three nephews, Tony, Cameron and Christopher Seeley; and two nieces, Desiree and Katrina Seeley.

Preceded in death by: her mother, Louise W. Seeley.

Services: 3 p.m. Sunday at Garden View Chapel, with burial at 10 a.m. Monday at Garden of Memories.
