Una Allen

LEWISTON - Una "Mae" Allen, 81, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, Nov. 14, after a period of failing health.

She was born in Jonesport on Aug. 21, 1926, the daughter of Morgan and Aretta (Urquhart) Seeley. She was educated in Auburn schools.

She operated a boarding home in Auburn for six years and was employed as certified nurse's aide/medical technician for 13 years in a local nursing home. Mae enjoyed life to its fullest with her wonderful sense of humor and always making you feel like a special person.

She loved beano and had a wonderful collection of bells from around the world. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Red Sox and her favorite man as she would call him, Tom Brady from the Patriots.

Her greatest love was her family, her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all her family members. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and wonderful affection to whom she shared with everyone she met.

Survivors include two sons, James Seeley and his wife, Marion, of Poland and Lewis Faulkingham and his wife, Betty, of Bryant Pond; one daughter, Linda Richardson and her husband, Ken, of Lewiston; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene Proctor and Robertine O'Neal, both of South Paris; one niece; and one nephew.

She was predeceased by two husbands, William Faulkingham and Robert Allen; three brothers; one sister; and her parents.

AUBURN - Funeral services celebrating the life of Una Mae Allen were held on Saturday at Dillingham & Son Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Bertha Jacqmin officiated the service. Burial was held at Gracelawn Memorial Park.
