ANDERSON
Mrs. Bertena Z. Anderson, 65, of Grand Valley, RD 1, died at 9:34 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 1993, at the Titusville Area Hospital shortly after her arrival there.
She was born on May 5, 1927 in Tryonville, a daughter of the late E.B. and Pearl Morehead Seely. Mrs. Anderson was married to Benjamin Leo Anderson on May 10, 1947 in Chapmanville. He died on Oct. 1, 1978.
Mrs. Anderson had attended the Trimm’s Corners School. She had been employed as a domestic worker by the Raymond Arnold Funeral Home and other private families in Titusville. She had also been employed in the housekeeping department at Sunset Manor.
She had formerly attended the Excelsior Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Scott (Connie Lou) Tenney of Grand Valley, RD 1; four sisters, Mrs. Ula Johnson of Jamestown, N.Y., Mrs. Louise Stufflebean, Mrs. Ula Moronski and Mrs. Bessie Cornell, all of Titusville; a foster brother, Kenneth Brewster of Springfield, Va.; three grandchildren, Scott R. Tenney, Penny Lou Tenney and Benjamin Tenney and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, a daughter, Maxine Elaine Anderson, two brothers, Arthur Seely and Ernest Seely and a sister, Mrs. Goldie Beadsley, died previously.
Friends may call at the Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend the funeral service there Monday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Robert E. Iddings, pastor of the Midway Alliance Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Excelsior Cemetery, Eldred Township, Warren County.
The family suggested memorial contributions be made to the Grand Valley Volunteer Fire Department.
