Ida Mae Baker

Ida Mae Baker, 87, of Glen Aubrey, passed away after a short illness Thursday, September 30, 2010 at home. She was predeceased by her parents, Emma J. and Milo Seeley; a grandson, V. Scott Baker; her husband, William M. Baker Sr; and a special friend, Richard Keck.

She was the loving mother of and is survived by six sons and three daughters-in-law, William M. Baker Jr, Athens, PA, Howard K. and Kem K. Hart-Baker, Nichols, NY, James E. and Rosemary Baker, Marathon, NY, Donald L. Baker, Windsor, NY, Thomas A Baker, Athens, PA, Gary M. and Virginia Baker, Binghamton, NY; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Ann and Thomas Underwood, Panama City, FL, Sandra J. and Nicholas Demchak, Hawleyton, 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, Mareatha Baker, Robin Baker, Lila Baker and friends, Bonnie Walsh and Sandra Minckler.

Ida Mae was a long-time, retired employee of the United Health Service (Wilson Memorial Hospital) in Johnson City, NY.

Burial will be in the Vestal Hills Memorial Park on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. The services will be at the gravesite for anyone wishing to attend. Please go to the office at Vestal Hills Memorial Park where all attendees will meet and go to the grave site together. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Foundation of Cortland County, 11 Kennedy Parkway, Cortland, NY 13045. Arrangements are by Coleman and Daniels, Funeral Home, 300 East Main Street, Endicott.
