Margaret Bales

Margaret M. (Seely) Bales, 92, Branson, Mo., passed away Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Skaggs Medical Center in Branson, Mo. Margaret was born on January 16, 1919 in Mystic, Iowa, the daughter of William and Agnes (McMurray) Seely. In 1936 she married Homer H. Kennell, who preceded her in death on July 26, 1957, then later married Forrest Bales, who also preceded her in death. Margaret worked as a punch press operator for Rival for over sixteen years, retiring in 1969. She was very active with the V.F.W. and American Legion Ladies Auxillaries of Excelsior Springs, Mo. She attended the Christian Union Church.

Margaret is survived by one son, David Kennell of Branson, Mo.; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A daughter, Neva Price-Kennell, preceded her in death on February 14, 2007.

Memorial services will be at 6 p.m. Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. at a later date.
