Mrs. Ada Barton

Mrs. Ada L. Barton, 94, of 208 N. School, Normal, died at 10:40 p.m. Monday at Americana Nursing Center.

Mrs. Barton was a retired nurse.

Her funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Stubblefield Funeral Home, with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Park Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Wednesday until time of service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Barton was born Sept. 26, 1880, in Littleton, a daughter of Lewis C. and Cynthia Davis Seeley. She was married to Philip J. Barton Aug. 15, 1933, in Chicago. He died June 6, 196. (as printed)

Her last surviving relative, a sister, Miss Helen Seeley, died Dec. 19, 1974.

Mrs. Barton was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Normal, Normal’s Women Improvement League, Friends of Normal Public Library, Bloomington-Normal Garden Club, McLean County Home Bureau and the Women’s Christian Temperance Union.

She was a graduate of Kelso School of Nursing.
