Maude Bausch

Maude Bausch: 89; Hoyt, died Monday [March 14th] at Holton Hospital. Mrs. Bausch was a teacher before she retired. She was born at Boscobel August 19, 1898, a daughter of Charles Mark and Rhoda Ann Dowling Seely. She lived in the Hoyt-Mayetta communities 70 years. She previously lived in Decatur County from 1906-1911 when she moved to the Grove Community northwest of Topeka. Mrs. Bausch was a member of St Francis Xavier Catholic Church and St Francis Altar Society-Mayetta. She also was a member of the Lincoln Social Club and Retired Teachers Assn.

She married Jacob Bausch 31 Dec 1918 at Holton, he survives. Other survivors include daughter: Patricia Ann Schwermann-Topeka; sons: Edward-Hoyt; Ivan "Bob"-Mayetta; a sister: Maye E Swanson-Topeka; 9 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren.

Arrangements by Mercer Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial was held Mar 17 at St Francis Xavier Church-Mayetta. The celebrant was Fr Bob Hasenkamp.

Casketbearers were her grandsons: Richard, Dale, Jake, Lyle & Edward Bausch & Ernest Louk. Interment was in St Joseph Cemetery-Hoyt.
