BRIDGES, LILLIAN ELIZABETH It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lillian Elizabeth (Seeley) Bridges. She was predeceased by her best friend and husband, Maurice J. Bridges; her parents, Arthur and Jennie (Reid) Seeley. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Loving mother to Charles (Anne Lean) and Eugene (Sharon Morgan); loving grandmother to Rebecca, Charity, and Sarah; great grandmother to; Mataya, Alannah, Benny, Rowen and Charles. Lillian also loved and cared for a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
Lillian was a retired school teacher who taught at several schools in the surrounding area. She was also a very active with the local 4H club and was a lifelong member of the Sheffield Women's Institute. She was a great cook and could often be found putting meals together for a house full of people. Known for her apple pies and sweet bread and warm hospitality. Lillian showed her faith to family and friends by loving acts of giving and kindness. He granddaughters enjoyed many hours of bedtime bible stories at her home. The last year of her life was spent well cared for at the Mill Cove Nursing Home. No visitation by request of Lillian.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 25th at the Lakeville Corner Baptist Church in Lakeville Corner, NB at 2:00 pm with Pastor Webber officiating. A reception will take place at the church following the service. Interment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Lakeville Corner Baptist Church or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
