Myrtle Seely Brown

STEENS – Myrtle Seely Brown, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2001, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus. She was born Nov. 8, 1920, in Hamilton to Walter L. and Annie Mae Berry Seely. She had lived in Steens for the past 17 years. She was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Hamilton with the Rev. David Blair and the Rev. Roy Bates officiating. Burial will be in the Center Hill Cemetery. Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home of Aberdeen is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, James Othel Brown of Steens; two sons, James W. Brown and wife, Gloria, of Steens, and Perry A. Brown and wife, Nancy, of Caledonia; three sisters, Marie Otts of Columbus, and Lena Mae Oliver and Pauline House, both of Hamilton; a brother, Walter Seely Jr. of Hamilton; four grandchildren, Anthony and Morgan Brown of Steens, and Patti Stanley and Natalie Brown of Caledonia; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Cooper Stanley of Caledonia.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Walker, Arvel and Roy Seeley, and a sister, Renda Stahl.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Brown, Todd Stanley, Grady Brown, William Gray, Roy Dean Seely, Mike Holman and Lynn House.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
