WILDA M. BUCK, 99, ONCE OF NORWOOD, DIES

NORWOOD -- Wilda M. Buck, 99, formerly of 7 Park St., died Tuesday at the United Helpers Nursing Home, Canton, where she had resided since Aug. 8, 1988.

Private services will be held Friday at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Buck Funeral Home. An Order of the Eastern Star service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to the Norwood United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.

Surviving are a son, Harold Buck, Colton; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Gonyeau, Vero Beach, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A son, Sealy, died Nov. 27, 1972, and a daughter, Beryle, died in 1917.

Born Dec. 10, 1892, in West Potsdam, daughter of George and Ella Manzer Sealy, she married Harold G. Buck June 24, 1914, at the home of her parents with the Rev. W.D. Aubrey, then pastor of the Norwood United Methodist Church, officiating. The couple owned and operated Buck Funeral Homes in this area since 1921. Mr. Buck died May 17, 1958.

Mrs. Buck was a member of the Norwood United Methodist Church and Lyra Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, Norwood.
