ESTHER M. CARBONE, 80

ASHBURNHAM - Esther M. (Seeley) Carbone, 80, of 202 Sherbert Road, died yesterday at Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital.

She leaves her husband, Edward P. Carbone; one sister, Agnes Casey of Fitchburg; and several nephews and nieces.

She was born in Fitchburg, the daughter of James and Mary (Ryan) Seeley and had lived in Gardner for 44 years before moving here in 1985.

Mr. and Mrs. Carbone celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary last February.

She was a 1928 graduate of Fitchburg High School. She was an office clerk at the former Parke Snow Company and the C.A. Cross Company, both of Fitchburg.

Mrs. Carbone was a member of the Forever Young Club of Ashburnham and was a communicant of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Gardner.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow from the John H. Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner, followed by a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Gardner.

Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. today. There will also be calling hours tomorrow from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., prior to the funeral Mass.

Donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 20 Federal Street, Greenfield, Mass. 01301, or to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 166 Cross Street, Gardner, 01440.
