Charlotte Christine Clagg

Charlotte Christine (Chris) Clagg, 69, of Shelbyville passed away at 10:29 a.m. Saturday (December 15, 2012) at the Shelby Memorial Hospital, Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday in the Lockart-Green Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Pastors Lynette DeAtley and Howard Sallee officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville. Memorials may be made to the Fourth Street United Methodist Church, Shelbyville.

Chris was born December 20, 1942 in Shelbyville the daughter of Kenneth and Jean V. (Winnie) Stilabower Seely.

Chris graduated from Shelbyville Schools in 1960. She was a member of the Fourth Street United Methodist Church and was active in the Ladies Aide. She formerly was employed at Sta-Rite and was a licensed insurance agent with Everett Davis and Kelly Gross Insurance offices.

Chris married Ray Clagg and to the marriage were born two sons, Greg ((Joyce) Clagg of Palmyra and Michl (Kimberly) Clagg of Fithian. Also surviving are her mother, Jean V (Winnie) Wagemann of Shelbyville; sisters, Amy (Bob) Newtson of Tucson, AZ and Shelbia (Jay) Nussbaum of Cheyenne, WY; grandchildren, Whitney (Seth) Roberts of Waverly and Tanner Clagg of Palmyra.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth.

Chris was dedicated to her church and gave of herself to anyone in need. She was a loving and caring person that loved her mother, children, grandchildren and sisters. She loved to read and garden and was a jokester and poet. She will be greatly missed by all she knew.
