SOUTH ATTLEBORO - Candice L. Coughlin, 52, died Saturday at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. She was the wife of William C. Coughlin. Mrs. Coughlin was born in Boston. She lived in South Attleboro for the past 33 years and previously in Hopkinton. She received a bachelor of science degree from Newbury College in 1995.Mrs. Coughlin was a traveling customer service instructor for Massachusetts Electric Co., where she had worked for the past 28 years. She was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church in South Attleboro. She was also a member and past president of the American Legion Post Auxiliary in South Attleboro and a member of the South Attleboro Lions Club. She enjoyed arts and crafts, particularly crochet. Surviving besides her husband are a son, John P. Coughlin, stationed in Germany a daughter, Sherry L. Jepsen of Cumberland, R.I. her mother, Eloise Seely of Hopkinton three brothers, John Seely of East Harwich, Richard Seely of Washington, Ga., and Dennis Seely of Uxbridge two sisters, Tamara Dafiotis of Uxbridge and Brigitta Whalen of Danbury, N.H. five grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Visitation is 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow at Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, 160 Park St. (Route 118 South), Attleboro. A funeral is at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, followed at 10 a.m. by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Baltic and Washington Streets, South Attleboro. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. John Cemetery, West Street, Attleboro.

CANDICE L. COUGHLIN, 52, of Robinson Avenue, a customer-service instructor, died yesterday in Sturdy Memorial Hospital.

She was the wife of William C. Coughlin. Born in Boston on Oct. 14, 1951, a daughter of Eloise (Edwards) Seely of Hopkinton, Mass., and the late Vernon G. Seely, she had lived in Hopkinton before moving to Attleboro 33 years ago.

Mrs. Coughlin had worked as a customer-service instructor for the Massachusetts Electric Co. for 28 years.

She received her bachelor's degree from Newbury College in 1995.

She was a member and past president of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 312, in South Attleboro, and a member of the South Attleboro Lions Club.

She was a communicant of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, South Attleboro.

She enjoyed arts and crafts, and was an avid crocheter.

Besides her husband and mother, she leaves a son, John P. Coughlin, stationed with the Army in Germany; a daughter, Sherry L. Jepsen of Cumberland; three brothers, Richard Seely of Washington, Ga., Dennis Seely of Uxbridge, Mass., and John Seely of East Harwich, Mass.; two sisters, Tamara Daflotis of Uxbridge and Brigitta Whalen of Danbury, N.H.; and five grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from Cook-Hathaway Funeral Home, Route 118 South, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Baltic and Washington Streets. Burial will follow in the family lot in St. John Cemetery.
