Kathryn Ann "Kathy" Dewey,48, of Chemung, died Saturday, Dec 30,1995, at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was born Dec 3, 1947, in Woodstock, the daughter of Nathan and Catherine (Beadle) Seelye. On May 8,1970, in Harvard, she married Gary A Dewey. Mrs. Dewey was a nurse's assistant at Harvard Community Memorial Hospital and also was a hairdresser in her own home. She was a lifetime member of St Joseph's Catholic Church. She attended St Joseph's grade school in Harvard and Marian Central Catholic High School. She was very active in church activities and currently was in nurse's training. She also was a member of the Harvard Women of the Moose. She is survived by her husband, Gary Dewey of Chemung; two daughters, Angela (Jeffery) Hartmann of Delavan, WI and Amy Dewey at home; her twin brother, Keith (Heather) Seelye of Harvard; a sister, Mary (Thomas) Bentley of Rockford; a brother, Joseph (Nancy) Seelye of Cary; her mother, Catherine Seelye of Harvard; and her mother-in-law, Mora Dewey of Harvard. She was preceded in death by her father, Nathan Seelye; and father-in-law, Willard Dewey. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan 1, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home in Harvard. A Women of the Moose service will be at 7 p.m. and a wake service will be at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan 2 at St Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard. The Rev Lawrence Urbaniak will officiate. Memorials may be made to Harvard Community Hospital.
