NORMA ELLIOTT

WOOD RIVER — Norma Mae Elliott, 80, passed away at 12:32 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2014, at her residence.

Born in Gettysburg, S.D., on Oct. 7, 1933, she was the daughter of Floyd and Alice (Bevers) Seely.

On July 11, 1953, in Gettysburg, she married Richard Elliott. He died Nov. 30, 2011.

Surviving are three daughters, Karla Elliott of St. Louis, Robin (Rohland) Freshour of Walford, Iowa, Misti K. Pleasant of Wood River; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brother, Robert Seely; and two sisters, Doris Todd and Helen Rebecca Weedle.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014, at the 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton, where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 5. Rev. Bill Pyatt will officiate.

Burial will be in Wares Grove Cemetery near Butler, Ill.

Memorials may be made to the 1st United Methodist Church in East Alton.

Marks Mortuary in Wood River is in charge of arrangements.
