Ada Emerson

SPOKANE - Visitation for Ada (Seeley) Emerson, 89, will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Thornhill Valley Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 40th and Bowdish. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.

Mrs. Emerson, who was a resident of Spokane for 60 years, died Friday. She was born in Hazelton, Idaho.

She had worked as an elementary schoolteacher for many years.

Mrs. Emerson was a member of the Mormon Church.

Her husband of 65 years, Van Emerson, died in February.

Survivors include two sons, Raymond Emerson of Anchorage, Alaska, and Richard Emerson of Spokane; a foster son, Tony Keast of Missoula; a brother, Richard Seeley of Boise; seven grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.
