Fortner, Viola C. (nee Seely), Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church. Beloved wife to James P. Fortner; loving mother to Mark (Julie) Fortner, Jennifer Cook, Matthew (Michelle) Fortner and Kimberly Palitzsch; loving stepmother to James Fortner and Judy Cary; dear grandmother to Kamilah, Cassi, Sam, Ashley, Zoey, Nathan, Natalie, Brandi and Maddie; dearest great-grandmother to Andre and Myranda; loving sister to Evelyn Bax, Patricia Fieser, Bertha Libbert, Geri Dunn, & Gus Seely. She is preceded in death by brothers, John & Bill Seely. Mrs. Fortner was a volunteer for various organizations and a member of Assumption Parish in O'Fallon, MO for 43 years. Services: Memorial Mass will be held at Assumption Parish, 403 N. Main St., O'Fallon, MO 63366 at 10:00 AM on Sat., Oct. 8th, 2011. Donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
