Hanna Home Owner Dies

Mrs. Alta Estelle Hanna Gray, 64, owner and operator of the Hanna home hospital at Bates for the past 15 years, died at Munson hospital Friday evening.

She was born August 30, 1887, at Bates and on November 12, 1906, was united in marriage to James Wilber Hanna of Bates. To this union were born six children, Merla Belle Ward of Muskegon; Marguerite Bernice Burfiend of Acme; Nellie Onita Estes of Bates; Wilburta Bethalie Thompson of Cheboygan; Theo Yvonne Cox of Williamsburg; and Derelys Audel Huelett of Traverse City. They also adopted a son, Lionel D. Hanna of Flint.

Mr. Hanna preceded her in death in October, 1910, and Lionel was killed in an automobile accident in December 1950.

Mrs. Hanna was married to Ralph E. Gray on July 20, 1942.

Surviving are her husband, six daughters, 16 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one brother, Damond L. Seeley of Williamsburg, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held from the Weaver-Reynolds funeral home Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 with the Rev. Charles Hull of Ashley officiating. Burial will be made in the family lot in Williamsburg cemetery.
