Betty Lou Seeley Holladay

Betty Lou Seeley Holladay, 74, died February 9, 2000, in Santaquin.

She was born May 13, 1925, in Hia-watha, Utah, to Marion D. and Laura Hansen Seeley. She married Fred H. Holladay on October 17, 1969, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was a member of the LDS Church, and served a mission in the Western States Mission; she was a teacher and Ward Relief Society president. She enjoyed gardening, playing the organ, and sewing. She was instrumental in establishing Holladay Hills Funeral Home. She worked for the County Home Extension; Uintah Power & Light, and Moon Lake Electric (Roosevelt, Utah).

She is survived by her husband, Fred H. Holladay; two daughters: Tracy Holladay, Ogden; Kelly (Dale) Sorenson, Santaquin; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Afton D. (Barbara) Seeley, Salt Lake City; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers: Jack, Francis, Movell, and Wallace Seeley; and beloved pet dogs, Penny, Midget, and Durham.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 14, 2000, Valentine's Day, at 11 a.m. at Santaquin Utah Stake Center, 90 South 200 East. Friends may call Sunday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Holladay Hills Funeral Home, 66 S. 300 E., Santaquin, and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 at the Stake Center. American Legion Auxiliary ceremony at Santaquin City Cemetery.

The family expresses their appreciation to Lynn and Wes Robbins for the love, care, and concern shown to Betty.
