OSAGE RITES HELD FOR MRS. AZUBA HOWE, 75

Osage – Funeral services were conducted at Champions funeral home Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock for Mrs. Azuba Howe, 75, who died Friday at the State hospital at Independence. Services were in charge of the Rev. Stiles Lessly. Burial was in the Osage cemetery.

Born Azuba Seeley in 1866, she went into the home of Mr. and Mrs. I. H. Doudna at the age of 12. In 1890, she was married to Ed Howe, and they resided near Little Cedar, coming to Osage in 1898.

Two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Malloy of Des Moines, and Mrs. Marie Gibson of Primghar, and one son, Max Howe of Battle Creek, Michigan, survive. One son, Milton, and her husband preceded her in death.
