Mary Louise Seeley Jenkins of Jennings, LA departed this life on June 6, 2012. She was born on January 4, 1943 to her late mother and father, Mary Landry Seeley Simon and the late Howard Millard Seeley.

She retired from the United States Air Force after 20 plus years. She was a highly decorated civilian employee, receiving the following United States Air Force awards and citations: President Citation Accommodations from President Ronald Reagan 1988, and attachment 1989, Outstanding Mission Completion Award July 4, 2000, Certificates of Service award Sept 28, 2000 and Thank You Award from Sacramento, CA, McClellan AFB 1978-2000.

She and her family traveled to many parts of the world and were stationed in Athens, Greece where they lived for 8 years and later resided in Citrus Heights, CA for many years before retiring and returning to Jennings, LA.

Mary Louise was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 52 years Willard Jenkins, Sr.; two sons, Jamal Jenkins and Loren (Kara) Jenkins; two grandsons, Tristin and Brendon, all of California; brother, Maurice Kevin Smith (Rennota) of Twinburg, OH; one sister of Houston, Texas; step-mother, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Cooper Seeley of Ann Arbor, Michigan; sister-in-law, Tessie Flossie Jenkins Addison of Lake Charles, LA; and many special aunts, nieces and cousins.

Funeral home visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. The final viewing will be Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the Union Baptist Church with Rev. Gerald Perkins, Sr. officiating, 1014 South Main Street, Jennings, LA 70546. Burial to follow in Southside Benevolent.
