Mrs. Calvin Jobson Dies At Home, April 3rd
Mrs. Calvin Jobson, 77 years of age, passed away at her home, 120 New Street, Clio, Thursday, April 3, 1947. Death followed an illness of ten months. Funeral services were conducted from the residence at 2:00 pm Monday, April 7, 1947. Rev. Joseph Dibley officiating. Burial was in Thetford Cemetery.
Jennie Mae Seeley Jobson was born in Thetford, May 20, 1869, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Seeley, and had lived in Clio for the past 55 years. She was married June 29, 1892, to Calvin Jobson at Court Street M.E. Church in Flint.
Mrs. Jobson was an active worker in all affairs of the community, and a member of Trinity Methodist Church of Clio. She had been a member of the Vienna O.E.S. for the past 30 years.
Surviving are: husband, Calvin; 1 uncle, Charles Drudge of Genesee, and several cousins, besides the many friends and neighbors.
Funeral arrangements were by the Chappell & Stout Funeral Home.
