Imogene Seely Kraus, 85, of Pittsburgh passed away on Monday.
Imogene graduated from Butler Memorial Hospital Nursing School in 1947. She worked at UPMC Western Psychiatric Hospital for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George; her parents, Harry and Catherine Seely; and her sister, Ruth Janicki.
She is survived by her sister, Carol Clark; sister-in-law, Jean (Chet) Walters; and daughters, Cindy Kraus, Val (Tom) Oxenreiter and Susan Kraus. She was the cherished grandmother of Brian and Sara Oxenreiter and honorary mother of Barb Riley, Debbie Zaparoni and Karen Joos. She also is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
KRAUS Friends of Imogene Seely Kraus, who died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pleasant Hills. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mount Oliver.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church or the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society.
