Operation Fatal To Mrs. Ruby LaMott

Funeral rites were held at the Zuver & Calvin chapel Monday afternoon for Mrs. Ruby LaMott, resident of Beeney Road, who died suddenly Friday night at New Borgess hospital, Kalamazoo, where she went two weeks before for an operation.

The Rev. W. E. Goltz, conducted the services and burial was at Maple Hill.

Mrs. LaMott was thought to be recovering, when she suddenly passed away.

The daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Seeley, Mrs. LaMott was born in Hartford on March 6, 1894, and had spent the greater part of her life here. Her death on June 3, 1938 made her span of life 44 years, 2 months and 29 days.

She was married to Charles LaMott, and to this union was born one son, Arthur LaMott, now of Decatur, who survives her.

She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. Eva Wygent of Battle Creek, and two brothers, Fred Seeley of Lafayette, Ind., and Edgar Seeley of Grand Rapids; also two grandchildren, Betty Jean and Robert LaMott.

One sister, Myrtle L. McNees, predeased her.
