Lorraine Laferriere, 81, of Manchester, beloved wife of the late Herman Renee Laferriere, passed away on May 11th 2013, at home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Hartford to the late Worth and Inez (Kennedy) Seeley.

Lorraine was a loving wife, mother grandmother and friend. She was always available to offer her guidance and support to her family. She was employed by Aetna Insurance, retiring after 15 years. She was always willing to help someone in need and will be most remembered for her kindness and loving ways. She was very active in the Manchester Senior Center. She loved playing Cribbage and Set Back with friends and family. She enjoyed time spent with her beloved companion Russ and spent most of her time traveling and entertaining. She always dressed to the dime. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed listening to a good joke. She liked to swim and watch the Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond and especially, Dancing with the Stars and watching her Tiger Woods play golf.

Lorraine will be dearly missed by her children, Valerie Washburn and her husband Al of Florida, Victoria Fay and her husband John of Bolton, and John Laferriere of East Windsor; her companion Russ Hull; her brother Worth "Pudge" Seeley and his wife Marilyn of East Hartford; her sister Doreen Ugolnick and her husband Tony of East Hartford; her 5 grandchildren, Sheri & Kerry Fay, Ashley Lefebvre, Sarah and Elizabeth Laferriere; her 6 great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Miller, Ashton Lefebvre, Aiden Daigle, Victoria Carlson, Zavier & Reyna Quinteiro and several nieces and nephews; her dearest friends Dolly, Agie & Don Pomeroy, Lee, Emma, Sue and so many more. In addition to her husband Herman and her parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her brother Fred and her companion of 25 years, George Catolone.

Burial will be private in Hillside Cemetery at a later date.
