Donna S. LoPucki

Donna S. LoPucki, 66, of Ludington, passed away at her home on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011. She had been a resident of Ludington for the past 15 years. Previous to that, she resided in Cary, North Carolina, for 25 years.

Donna Jeanne Seeley was born in Berea, Ohio, on Dec. 20, 1944, and grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, and later in Valley City, Ohio. She attended Buckeye High School and Kent State University. For most of her working years, she was employed by Burroughs-Wellcome Pharmaceutical Company in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, as a patent administrative assistant.

She was an avid music lover. She auditioned for and was a member of the Raleigh Oratorio Society. Donna enjoyed singing and playing piano, and was an opera and classical music enthusiast. Other passions included collecting antiques, creating beautiful decoupage pieces, and she had a flair for interior decorating. She enjoyed reading, especially works by Charles Dickens, and had the opportunity to go to London to meet Sir Cedric Dickens, great-grandson to Charles Dickens, and later corresponded with him on occasion.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Maynard and Sydney Seeley. Her survivors include two sons, Anthony J. and Andrew T. LoPucki; two sisters, Diane (Kenneth) Hill of Ludington, and Susan (Roy) Hill of Lampe, Missouri; nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, and many friends in Ludington and North Carolina. Donna will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

The family is planning a celebration of life service for a later date and will announce the date at a later time. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice with envelopes available at the Alexander-Rye Funeral Home.
