KATHLEEN L. LOWE, 83, RETIRED NURSE

FITCHBURG -- Kathleen L. (Seely) Lowe, 83, of 350 Water St., a retired nurse, died Saturday, Sept. 2, after being stricken ill while on vacation in Biddeford, Maine.

Her husband, Walter M. Lowe, died in 1993. She leaves three sons, John W. Lowe of West Acton, Charles A. and Howard F. Lowe, both of Fitchburg; a daughter, Kathleen Sullivan of Princeton; a sister, Ethel Labatt of Amesbury; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. A son, Walter M. Lowe III, died in 1996. She was born in Lubec, Maine, daughter of George W. and Frances (Fletcher) Seeley, and lived several years in Gardner before moving to Fitchburg. She graduated from Gardner High School in 1934, and attended the Chester Hospital School of Nursing in Cambridge.

Mrs. Lowe worked many years at Burbank Hospital, retiring in 1980.

She was a member of the Fitchburg Women's Club.

After cremation, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family in South Cemetery, Lyndeborough, N.H. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701-4688 or a charity. Aubuchon-Moorcroft Funeral Home, 132 Woodland St., is directing arrangements.
