Dorothy Alice McClintock

Dorothy Alice McClintock passed away September 28, 2015 at the age of 86. Born February 6, 1929 to Leonard and Dorothy Seeley at the original Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern. A life resident of Suffern, Dorothy was active in civic affairs and volunteer work. She was a member of the Suffern Planning Board from 1962 thru 1972, past chairman of the Independent taxpayers of Suffern, past chairman Democratic committee of Suffern, past member of Ramapo School District Building utilization committee which worked on expanded summer school with busing which was instituted. She was also past member of the zoning board of appeals, past member of the Suffern junior woman's club and current member and past president of the Woman's Club of Suffern; current member and the first woman resident of the Suffern's Lions Club, member of Suffern Alumni, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Suffern museum. Dorothy retired from Lederle Labs as a planner in the biological division in January 1991 after 25 years. Predeceased by her husband, Eugene "Pete", she is survived by her sons Bruce (Jacqueline), Kevin (Lori), her grandchildren, Courtney Dowson (Glenn), Ashley Iaquinto (Thomas) Kimberlee McClintock, Thomas McClintock, and Tatia McClintock; great-grandchildren, Thomas, Adelina, Vincent, Glenn Jr., and Patrick. Dorothy's Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Scarr Funeral Home, Route 202, Suffern. Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956 would be appreciated.
