MERZ Barbara J., (nee Seeley), 79 of New Albany, PA formerly of Teaneck, NJ died peacefully with family at her side on Friday, September 5, 2014. Beloved wife of the late Charles David Merz (2005). Devoted mother of Sherri and her husband Carmine D'Alessandro, Richard and his wife Idina Merz, Terri Merz and Charles Merz, Jr. Dear sister of Howard and his wife Karen Seeley. Loving grand mother of James, Gabrielle, Christopher, Rick Jr., Kaitlyn, Terri, Joseph Jr., Thomas, Andrew and Jenna. Cherished great grandmother of Christopher, Livia, JT, Timber, Lexi, Charlie and Kaylee. Before retiring Barbara worked for Bell Telephone Company and was a dental receptionist. She was very active in St. John's Church in New Albany, PA and the Elks Lodge. Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 8 from 4-8 PM at Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 AM at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Donations may be made in Barbara's name to the Alzheimer's Foundation www.alz.org.
