Geneive Lillian Seely Montgomery, age 84 passed away suddenly on Sunday, February 26, 2006 in Houston, TX. Funeral: 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2006, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, MO. Officiated by Rev. Edwin Shelton. Visitation: 12 noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Polley Funeral Home. Entombment at Lawson Cemetery in Lawson, MO. Geneive was born September 24, 1921, in Mystic, Iowa, the youngest of eight children to coal-miner William and Agnes Seely. As a young girl the family moved to Excelsior Springs, MO. She was the beloved spouse for over fifty years of the late Army Major John T. Montgomery. Geneive was a loving, devoted Mother to Johnny and Karen Montgomery, Robert and Cindy Montgomery, and LaDonna and William Don Stimelsky (deceased). She was the precious Grandmother of Brent Montgomery, Monty and Nicole Seely, Jennifer Seely, William Don Stimelsky, Jr. and Christopher Montgomery. She was the proudest Great Grandmother of William Don Stimelsky III and twins Alexus and Holdun Montgomery Seely. Geneive is survived by a loving sister Margaret Seely Bales and sister-in-law Henrietta Seely. Geneive was also the cherished Aunt and cousin to numerous loved ones. Genieve was the life of every gathering and absolutely adored her numerous friends and neighbors. Geneive was the perfect military wife and traveled with her husband and family to Germany and Alaska, later retired in Excelsior Springs and most recently moved to Houston, Texas to reside with her daughter, LaDonna Stimelsky.
