Vanessa Seely Montgomery

SALT LAKE CITY-- Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Vanessa Seely Montgomery passed away peacefully Nov. 18, 1995, in Salt Lake City.

Vanessa was born March 23, 1897, in Indianola, Utah, the daughter of Annie Margaret and Justus Lehi Seely of Mt. Pleasant. Married Asa Crowther Wilson in 1916. A daughter, June Eudora, was born to them. Asa passed away in the flu epidemic of 1918.

Married Charles "Doc" Montgomery March 17, 1921. A daughter, Barbara Ann, was born to them. Doc passed away in 1943.

Vanessa made her home in Salt Lake City for over 50 years. She was a well-loved neighbor and always looked out for her family and others. She will be greatly missed. She was active in the LDS Church, attended the temple, and did much genealogy.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Dinneen of Salt Lake City; grandson, Charles; granddaughter, Sheri (Lee) Carlisle of Spanish Fork; four great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Verlie Kirk and Blanche Olson; sister-in-law, Mae Krebs Seely; numerous nieces and nephews.

Her beloved daughter, June, preceded her in death.

A private family graveside service will be held Monday, November 20, 1995, at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Visitation at Ursenbach Funeral Home on Monday at 12:30 p.m. prior to graveside services.
