Violet Seely Morrison Was former Wattsburg resident

Violet Morrison, 80, a resident of Pleasant Ridge Manor West, Girard, died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, after a lengthy illness.

She was born March 28, 1923, in Oil City, daughter of the late Elmer and Flossie Luce Seely. A former resident of 13454 Hopson Hill Road, Wattsburg, she had lived most of her life in the Erie area.

She was a homemaker.

She enjoyed gardening and canning.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orren J. Morrison, in 1971; a daughter, Linda L. Morrison; a brother, Thomas A. Seely; and two sisters, Flossie "Faye" Lathrop and Alice Thompson.

Survivors include two sons, Elmer Morrison and his wife, Vickie, of Erie and Dana Morrison of Arbuckle; an aunt, Norma Bearce; five grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.

There were no calling hours and a service was private.

Burial will be at Erie County Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by the Russell C. Schmidt & Sons Funeral Home, 2926 Pine Ave.
