ELKHORN - Mrs. Charles Morton, of Rte. 1, Elkhorn, and Wayne, Ill., died at 1:55 a.m. Friday in Lakeland Hospital. She was the wife of Charles Morton, chairman of the board of Morton Manufacturing Co., Libertyville, Ill. The former June Seeley was born March 9, 1894, in Lecrew, Iowa, the daughter of W. B. and Elizabeth Ketchum Seeley. She was married to Charles Morton June 28, 1917, in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, and the couple resided there briefly and later in Chicago, River Forest, Oak Park and Wayne, Ill. They had spent summers at their home in La Grange Township, Lauderdale Lake, for many years. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Carlson, River Forest, and Mrs. Edmund H. Sorenson, Hinsdale, Ill.; a son, Robert S., of Wayne, Ill.; eight grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Florence Lodwick, Burlington, Iowa; and a brother, B. E. Seeley, Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Fredrickson Funeral Home, the Rev. John Wagner, Bethel Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Hazel Ridge Cemetery, Elkhorn. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to p.m. Sunday.
