Patricia M. Morton

RUMFORD — Patricia M. Morton, 82, died Monday, April 2, at the Rumford Community Home.

She was born in Mexico, Jan. 8, 1930, the daughter of Herman and Annie (Dawson) Seeley. She attended Mexico schools and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford.

She was a very proud homemaker and was also employed as a custodian at Andover Wood Products for many years. She was also employed for a short time for at Ames Dept. Store in Rumford. She was a very active member of the Rumford Center Grange for many years.

She was married in Rumford, Aug. 9, 1958, to George H. Morton Sr., who died in Rumford on July 16, 1994.

Survivors include three sons, George H. Morton Jr of Mexico, Daniel “Tim” Morton and wife, Liz, of Rumford and Herman Morton and companion, Nikki Johnson, of Destin, Fla.; a daughter, Annie Kelley and husband, Michael, of Mountain View, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Stephanie and Benjamin Morton of Burbank, Wash., Angela Morton of Pennsylvania, Steven Morton of Rumford, Patrick and Amanda Morton of Destin, Fla., and Aaron Kelley of Mountain View, Calif.; five great-great-grandchildren, Alisha, Jerry Jr., Alyssa, Preston and Parker. She was predeceased by a grandson, Brandon Martin; two brothers, Gerald “Harpo” Seeley and James “Harpo” Seeley.

The family would like to thank the staff at Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice and the staff at the Rumford Community Home for their care and kindness.
