Gertrude C. Naylor

Gertrude C. Naylor, 93, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2010, at Hyland Nursing Home, Iron Mountain.
She was born November 4, 1917, in Conneautville, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Frank and Mildred (Derby) Seeley. She grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Conneautville Vocational High School.
Gertrude married George Naylor in Pennsylvania and they were married for over 50 years. The couple resided in Dearborn, Mich., after being married. While living in Dearborn, Gertrude and her husband were members of the Seaway Boat Club, located in Wyandotte, Mich., for over 25 years. He preceded her in death in March of 2000. In 2002, Gertrude moved to Iron Mountain.
Gertrude enjoyed many hobbies including, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards and she dearly loved spending time with her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by, seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Naylor, Livonia, Mich., Tammy Naylor, Dearborn, Jennifer (Darryl) Johnson, Iron Mountain, Megan (Travis) Lewis, Kingsford, Mich., Daniel (Kelly) Lawson, Blacksburg, Virginia, Christina Lauridsen, Kingsford, Michael Lawson, Marquette, Mich.; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Naylor, Jason Naylor, Amber Naylor, Nathan Johnson, Dempsey Lauridsen, Shawn Lauridsen, Jason Lawson; three daughters-in-law, Nancy Naylor, Quinnesec, Mich., Judy Naylor, Kathy Carter, both of Dearborn; and a very good friend, Irma Sherman, Iron Mountain.
Gertrude was preceded in death by, two sons, Jeffrey and Kevin Naylor and one grand daughter-in-law, Kathy Naylor.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the Querfeld Funeral Home, Dearborn, Mich. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Danielak will officiate. Entombment will be at Cadillac Memorial Cemetery, Westland, Michigan.
