Maxine Seeley Knoble McKee Newman
1918 ~ 2012

Maxine Seeley Knoble McKee Newman was reunited with family and friends on November 7, 2012. She was 94. She was born in Storrs, Utah on March 8, 1918 to Azel Ward Seeley and Ivo Cecelia Rasmussen. Brothers Ward, Cloyd, Max (twin) and Devon Seeley watched over her while they were growing up. In 1936 she married her high school sweetheart William Dwayne Knoble. They raised 3 sons Gary W, Max D (Carol) and Jonnie M (Jan) Knoble. Dwayne died in 1965. Maxine later married James E McKee and they enjoyed their years together. Following Jim's death she married Wayne K Newman, a caring companion. Maxine loved being with her family and extended family. She served in a number of church callings and served in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She was affiliated with the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and the Union Pacific Women's Auxiliary.

Maxine is survived by her husband Wayne, sons (spouses), 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, a number of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren, and brother Devon C Seeley.

A gathering will be held for family and friends on Monday, November 12, 2012, from 6 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at 11:00 am. Visiting time prior to the funeral will be from 10-10:45 that morning. Both gatherings will be held at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So). Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Estates. Memories may be shared at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
