Adeline Mae Nordstrom, 90, formerly of River Bend Apartments in Fergus Falls and Fargo
Adeline Nordstrom, died Friday, May 27, 2011, at Broen Memorial Home in Fergus Falls.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and the love of her life, George Nordstrom.
Survivors include four daughters, Beverly(Bill)Vogelzang of Knoxville, Tenessee, Donna(Bud) Ormiston of Fergus Falls, Connie Haefs of Chandler, Arizona, and Linda (Jerry) Sanger of Kearns, Utah; 10 devoted grandchildren, Scott Kjelvik, Milli Kjelvik, Angie Marker, Mike Vogelzang, Julie Foulks, Tim, Ian and Taige Kelly, Killian Greenlee and Amy Deatherage; 12 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and a special niece, Joann (Cam) Schroeder along with a host of friends.
A memorial service is planned at a later date.
Arrangements are with the Faith and Hope Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.

Adeline Mae Nordstrom, 90, formerly of River Bend Apartments of Fergus Falls and of Fargo, died on May 27, 2011 at the Broen Memorial Home of Fergus Falls.
Adeline Mae was born on May 14, 1921, in Illinois, the daughter of George and Mae (Ruckman) Seely. She was born, raised and graduated from the orphanage school.
On November 18, 1946, she married George Nordstrom in Minneapolis. Adeline worked alongside her husband, George in Iowa where they owned the Fredericksburg Newspaper. The family later moved to Fargo, where she worked as a proof reader at the Fargo Forum. Adeline donated much of her time at the legion food stands making her famous sloppy joe's. Adeline was said to never turn anyone away from her door, if you needed shelter she would find a room.
Her hobbies included gardening, cooking, sewing, antiquing and playing cards especially pinochle. Adeline also was an avid photographer and movie maker of her family's events. Another love of hers was to spend time with family and friends at their cottage on Lake Eunice.
Adeline spent much of her life searching for her past. She never knew who her parents were, where or when she was born, as she was raised in an orphanage that was later destroyed by fire taking with it all the records. She always knew who her family was and leaves behind four loving daughters Beverly, Donna, Connie and Linda.
