Gladys V. Palamar

Gladys V. Palamar, 94, of South Windsor, formerly of East Hartford, widow of Harry Palamar, died Thursday, October 13, 2005, at Manchester Manor.

Born in Hawley, Pa., on July 4, 1911, daughter of the late Erastus and Pansey (Hale) Seeley, she had lived in East Hartford for 64 years prior to moving to South Windsor in 1999. She was employed as a secretary at Pratt & Whitney, East Hartford, for 28 years before retiring in 1971. She was a member of Burnside United Methodist Church in East Hartford for many years.

She is survived by a daughter, Evelyn, and her husband, William Livengood, of Manchester; three grandchildren, William Livengood, III and his wife, Linda, of Whitefield, N.H.; Cynthia and her husband, Burton McNamar, of Ellington; and Gary Livengood and his wife, Sarah of Fairbanks, Alaska; nine great-grandchildren, Keith McNamar and his wife, Rita; Andrew McNamar and his wife, Stephanie; Brie McNamar, and David McNamar; William, IV, Curtis, Carlene, Ben, and Jon Livengood; and five great-great grandchildren, Jacob and Aislinn McNamar; Levi, Faith, and Hope Livengood. She was predeceased by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 15, 2005, 11 a.m., at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road, South Windsor. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Burnside United Methodist Church, 16 Church Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
