Dorothy M. (nee Seeley) Peronteau, 88, formerly of Malvern, passed away peacefully on Friday, Sept. 26, 2014, at Wellington Terrace, West Chester, where she was a resident for the past five years.

Dorothy was the wife of the late John R. Peronteau.

Dorothy was born in Greenville, Pa., on Feb. 20, 1926, a daughter of Altymont and Mabel Seeley.

Dorothy was an active member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Phoenixville and an avid bowler with her bowling league at Devon Lanes.

She had a love for gardening, painting, nature and her family.

Surviving are two children, Barbara K. Peronteau of Reading and Jon Barry Peronteau of Spring City; her brother, Dwight A. Seeley of Hermitage, Pa.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 30, and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Alleva Funeral Home, 1724 E. Lancaster Ave., Paoli.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.

Interment will follow in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer.
