DECATUR - Leona L. Puckett, 83, of Decatur died 11:06 a.m. Monday (Feb. 4, 2002) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Tower Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Puckett was born June 9, 1918, in Moweaqua, the daughter of Ross and Cora Brownlee Seely. She was a homemaker and loved to cook. She married Benjamin Puckett Oct. 15, 1938. He preceded her in death March 1985.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen Werkman and husband David of Decatur; son, Bruce Puckett and fiancee Wendy Walsh of Decatur; grandchildren, Sean Garren, Cory Puckett, Eric Puckett, Gary Bonds and wife Stacey, Annette Brownlow and Michael Puckett; sister, Mary Lou Raetz of Shelbyville; great-grandchildren, Kayne Puckett, Dalton Brownlow, Samantha Bonds and Grace Bonds, all of Decatur.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Wilson Seely; and beloved son, Gary Puckett.
