Age 74, passed away Monday, March 26, 2007 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. Living in Lockport for over 50 years.
She is survived by her loving family; her husband of 49 years James R. Raue; her sons, Mark (Patricia nee Brookman) and John (the late Rene nee Holsey) Raue; her daughter, Barbara (Bob) Chamberlin; four grandchildren, Jeremy Holsey, Kara-lyn and David Raue and James Chamberlin; her step sister, Ev (Wally) Pautsch; brother in law, Glenn Isaccs.
Helen was a teacher for District 92 for over 40 years; she was a member of the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ where she served in many capacities, Order of Eastern Star, Lockport Women's Club and Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth L. Seely; her mother and stepfather, Addie (nee Marshall) and Herman Schubert; two grandsons, Samuel and Michael Chamberlin; and a step sister, Helen Isaccs.
Family will receive friends at the Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Lockport Saturday, March 31, 2007 from 3-7:30p.m. Funeral service Monday, April 2, 2007 at 10:00a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment on Monday, April 2, 2007 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the 1st Congregational United Church of Christ, 700 E. 9th Street, Lockport, IL 60441 would be appreciated.
