Lois Phaye (Seelye) Reynolds

Lois Phaye (Seelye) Reynolds was born in Portland, Ore. on April 16, 1924 to Edgar J. and Phaye L. (Diffenderfer) Seelye. She passed away Saturday Sept. 13 at her home.

Lois grew up in Portland, graduating from Franklin High School in 1942. She met Norman Reynolds while he was roommates with her brother, Ed, at Oregon State College. They married July 23, 1944 in Portland. They settled in Prineville when Norm was discharged from military service, eventually moving to the family home on Brookfield Lane in 1949. In 2006, Lois moved into Prineville, where she enjoyed spending time with friends at the Senior Center, First Baptist Church and attending community activities.

Survivors include her children Cliff and Cheryl of Saskatchewan, Canada; Jim and Selina of Texas; Rich and Elly of Portland; Phaye Golden of Redmond; Keith and Michelle of Prineville; 15 grandchildren and a niece, Pam Neumann of Portland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her nephew David Seelye, her husband Norm, daughter-in-law Nancy J. Reynolds, and brother, Edgar Seelye.

Graveside and Memorial Services were held Thursday, Sept. 18 at Juniper Haven Cemetery and First Baptist Church.
