Earnestine Shortt

Mrs. Earnestine Shortt, 88, formerly of Cardinal Lane, Princeton, died Sunday, October 28, 2001, at 11:00 p.m. at Princeton Health Care Manor in Princeton, following a short illness.

Retired supervisor at Caldwell County Hospital, former manager of Princeton Manor Apartments and a member of First Baptist Church of Princeton, she was born March 21st 1913, in Caldwell County, a daughter of the late James N. and Mary Ann Young Seeley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer Shortt in 1982; a daughter, Pat Salyers; a brother, Marshall Seeley in 1982; and a sister, Izetta McDonald in 1982.

Survivors include a son-in-law, Wayne Salyers of Princeton; three grandchildren, David Seiders of Huntingdon, Tenn. and Pattie Oliver and Deedi Bell, both of Princeton; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 30th, at 1:00 p.m. at Morgan's Funeral Home in Princeton with the Rev. Tom Hughes officiating.
