Mabelle S. Smith

Mrs. Mabelle S. Smith, 87, a summer resident of the Donaldson Campsite in Fish Creek, and winter resident of Clearwater, Fla., died Saturday, Aug. 6, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

She was born July 25, 1896, in Syracuse, the daughter of Erwin and Alice Seely.

She had taught at the elementary and high school levels for the Buffalo Board of Education and was a member of the New York State Teachers’ Association. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, Ray W. Smith; a sister, Mrs. Vivian McLusky of Lafayette: and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was held at the Whispering Maples Memorial Gardents Crematory in Ellenburg.

Funeral arrangements were with the Keough and Son Funeral Home here.
