Helen "Becky" Weddle

Graveside services for Helen "Becky" Weddle, 66, of Blunt, S.D., and formerly of Gettysburg, will be Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Gettysburg Cemetery in Gettysburg, S.D. Rev. Charles Snipes will officiate.

Kesling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Weddle passed away Sept. 27, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospice in Pierre, S.D.

Helen Rebecca (Becky) Weddle was born February 18, 1941 at Gettysburg, SD to Floyd and Alice (Bevers) Seely. Becky grew up and attended school in Gettysburg. After completing her education in Gettysburg she attended business school in Aberdeen, SD. She then returned to Gettysburg where she worked along with her mother Alice in the Busy Bee Café which was a family owned business.

On October 1, 1962 she married Bob Weddle at Pierre, SD. Following their marriage they made their home in Gettysburg.

In the late 1980's they moved to Pierre and later to Ft. Pierre. While there Becky worked for the Dept of Social Services doing home care for the elderly and later she did day care in her home. In the late 90's she and Bob moved to Blunt, SD where they have since resided.

Mrs. Weddle passed away Sept 27, 2007 at St. Mary's Hospice in Pierre, SD.

She is survived by her husband Bob of Blunt, SD, son Marty of Pierre, SD and Daughter Nyla (Bob) Butters of Gilbert, AZ. 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Brother Robert (Verla) Seely of Wood River, Ill. And sister Norma (Richard) Elliott of Wood River Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Doris Todd.
