RUBY EDNA SEELEY WEIR, 89, passed away Feb. 25, 2005, at Maplewood Health Care Center in Jackson, TN.

She was born and reared in Chester County, the daughter of the late Arthur Hall and Sarah Ellen Davis Seeley. She attended schools in Chester County and in 1935 was married to Vernon Weir. They made their home in the Mason Wells Community of Madison County all their married life where Mr. Weir Farmed. Mr. Weir died in 1991 and she continued to make her home in Mason Wells until 1999. She was a member of the Big Springs Methodist Church. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and working in her flowers.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry Weir and wife Jane and Joe Weir of Beech Bluff; three daughters, Patsy Ruffin of East Cape, IL, Mary Lou Warren and husband Sherman of Beech Bluff and Linda Goodrum and husband Clarence of Hornsby, TN; fifteen grandchildren and fourteen gr-grandchildren; and a sister Nell Dunn of Henderson, TN.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Weir in 1991; a son, Jimmy Weir in 1994; a gr-grandson, Brandon Weir in 1991; four brothers and one sister.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Monday, from the Chapel of Casey Funeral Home with Rev. Harold Montgomery officiating with burial to following a Big Springs Cemetery in Madison County.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Stan Harris, Jeff Weir, Mike Weir, Patrick Weir, Tony Warren, Terry Warren, Matt Goodrum, Justin Goodrum and Ben Goodrum.
