Nina Alice Seeley Hughes Hurt Wells

Nina Alice Seeley Hughes Hurt Wells, 82, of Galveston, Texas, formerly of Anamosa, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, at her daughter's home in Galveston from complications of Alzheimer's. Services: 2 p.m. Friday at New Life Community Church in Anamosa. Her body has been cremated by Carnes Bros. Funeral Home in Galveston.

Survivors include six children, Jeanette Ward of Clarence, Dewane Hughes of Cedar Rapids, Albert Hughes and Daniel Hurt, both of Marion, David Hurt of Stillwater, Okla., and Joanna Warnke of Galveston; two brothers, Larry Seeley of Binghamton, N.Y., and Sonny Seeley of Anamosa; and two sisters, Sis Clark and Doris Loehr, both of Hale.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Warner Hurt and Melvin Wells; brother, Glen Seeley; son, Dennis Hurt; and grandson, Tommy Terry.

Nina was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Anamosa. In 1944, she married Ivan Hughes. They divorced in 1951. Nina married Warner Hurt in 1952. He died in 1994. She then married Melvin Wells in 2003. He died in 2005.

Nina lived her life for her children and the Lord. We know she is now reunited with all her loved ones who went on before her.
