NEPONSET - Sheri Ann Wells, 61, of Neponset died Friday, July 17, 2015, at her home.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Florida. Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

Sheri Ann Wells, 62, of Neponset, Ill, formerly from Palm Bay, FL, reached out and took God's hand and entered heaven on Friday, July 17, 2015. Sheri was born December 18, 1953 in Holyoke, MA. Being a military daughter she lived her formable years at many Air Force bases here in U.S & in England. After graduating from Lakenheath American High School in England, Sheri enlisted and served at McEntire Air National Guard Station (ANGS) from 1975-1985. She later moved to Palm Bay, FL, which she always considered her real home. From 1987 through 2008 she worked as a systems engineer for ITT Industries at Patrick Air Force Base, FL. In 2008 she retired from ITT to move to Tallahassee to care for her ailing parents. Recently she moved to Neponset, Ill and opened a new chapter in her life with partner Hal Modro.

Sheri will warmly be remembered for her profound love of her family and friends, compassion, love for her country, and her special gift of reaching out to help others. Her infectious smile and enthusiasm for life was immeasurable. She was an active member of Space Coast War Dog Association and K-9 Military Working Dog Association, sending countless care packages to our deployed military dog handlers in Iraq and Afghanistan. She was also a long standing member of the Schipperke Rescue, taking in three rescue dogs to love and care for.

Sheri is survived by her nephew, John Michael Seeley, partner Hal Modro best friends Nancye & Bill Meyers and a large community of dear friends. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, John and Bridget Seeley and brother Michael.
